Michael began his term as an unpaid pastor in October 2023. Since 2013, he has served our church in various roles, including as a deacon and a Sunday School teacher. Michael is also active in pulpit supply for churches in Smith and Wood Counties. Through book studies, theology papers, and discipleship, we have seen Michael grow as a preacher of the Word and a shepherd to the congregation.
In the words of Michael, “I want to glorify God by serving His church in any way that I can. I will gladly serve and grow in the role of lay elder alongside the other pastors of our church. As with everything in our Church, I want us all ‘to press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus’ (Philippians 3:14).”
